The Bowls Premier League (BPL) is the sport’s made-for-television, showpiece event.

This year is Club Sunbury’s first time joining in on the action with the new Melbourne Extreme Team! Club Sunbury’s Melbourne Extreme is Sunbury’s first National team in any sport and we look forward to doing Sunbury Proud in the upcoming competitions.

The BPL is held biannually, the first being in February held in Victoria’s/NSW’s Moama, and the second in November, held at Queensland’s Pine Rivers. The BPL was designed to eliminate the stigma of Bowls being an older, slow sport and instead align more with the upcoming generations of sport lovers.

It is a fast paced game and attracts the best players of the world, it appeals to bowlers and non-bowlers who may have seen the sport in a different light.

For those unable to make the action in person, the games are broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo Sports, and Sky Sport NZ.

The BPL is changing the game of Lawn Bowls and Club Sunbury is eager to continue in this trend, we see Lawn bowls as the next big thing in Australia, just you wait!
